October is upon us and that means things are about to get a little spooky as we lead up to Halloween. There are plenty of ways to get in the spirit, but one of the best ways is to enjoy a classic scary movie. Luckily for you, there are plenty of theaters showing classic horror films throughout the month. Here are four theaters to check out:

Redford Theater

The historic Redford Theater is always showcasing classic films, and that is especially the case in the month of October. Every Friday and Saturday, the theater will be showing a classic Hollywood Halloween inspired movie. It starts on October 7 with “The Three Stooges Halloween Festival”, with The Haunting, Young Frankenstein, Beetlejuice, The Thing, and The Exorcist being shown in the following weeks. The month long celebration will conclude with a Halloween Spooktacular on October 29 and will included Halloween-themed cartoons and short subjects followed by a screening of The Raven.

Main Art Theater

The Main Art Theater is always a fun place to go to on Friday and Saturday nights when they show special screenings at midnight. This month will feature some great Halloween inspired flicks such as Spirited Away, I Drink Your Blood, Halloween, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. There will also be a special screening of the National Theater play, Frankenstein, which debuted in 2014.

The Penn Theater

For fans of classic movie theaters, there are few greater than the Penn Theater in Plymouth. The theater will be showing “Shock-tober Classics” every Thursday throughout the month. It will start on October 6 with the classic, Creature from the Black Lagoon, then the following weeks will include House of Wax, Little Shop of Horrors, and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.

With best-in-class cargo space, top of the line safety features, and cutting edge technology, the Chevy Suburban is perfect for any family. See the Suburban's available features that can keep up with your family's lifestyle.

The Maple Theater

The Maple Theater is known for hosting special movie themed events, and this month is no different. The theater will be showing the new Godzilla movie, Shin Godzilla, on select days from October 11 through October 18. The movie is the ultimate homage to the classic Japanese monster flicks of the mid 20th century, as this film takes place in Tokyo and is a Japanese production. The theater will also be hosting a red carpet premiere of the slasher film, Garroter!, on Halloween night.
